4, 122, 2928, 175,680.

Months, days, hours, minutes left in 2022.

As the summer draws to an end so does the majority of competitions. The nights are starting to draw in and that autumnal feel is in the air (personally my favourite time of the year!)

Yes, a time to let our horses potentially have a break and have a non-horsey holiday ourselves.

BUT

After the autumn holidays - what are you doing with your horse? Where you heading?

I know I have struggled to stay motivated as the nights get cold, wet & dark,

"Another day off won't hurt!"

But when does that stop?

If you don't make an gains before Christmas...

That's

A whole 1/3 of a year

Without progress!

Without goals or focus - it is very easy to 'drift' through this part of the year.

I see this time of the year as an opportunity to build on foundations, to take time to focus on the basics & cement it into the ground ready for 2023!

If you are looking to find some focus, motivation and drive to make the most of the rest of 2022 - drop me a message to see how my coaching packages can help you.

Growth isn't comfortable. But why do we think it should be?

To grow, we have to change. And change is ... well... terrifying!!

Albert Einstein famously said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

Are you achieving what you want with your horse? Have you made the progress you wanted for 2022?

If the answer is no, surely just repeating the same habits, training & behaviours isn't going to get you anywhere different in 2023.

A Few Things To Think About

  • Are you enjoying riding? If the answer is no, why not?!

  • Do you know what you want to achieve?

  • Are your goals achievable?

  • Do you have a structured route to your goals?

  • Do you have the confidence to enter that 'big' event?

  • Are you surrounded by people who are positive & encouraging?

If your answers are yes- BLOODY FANTASTIC!!!!

If your answers are no (or at least some of them...) what are you going to do to change it?

My coaching packages offer support, accountability & guidance to help you make these improvements consistently. I don't have a magic wand to make all your problems disappear but what I do have is EXPERIENCE and a system.

I will be there to help you, guide you and face any blockers in your way.

If you wish to join my wait list for coaching packages - please drop me a message.

"an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm"

We all experience the emotion of fear but ironically it is a very personal and unique to each individual.

For people around you - it might seem irrational or dramatic.

But for you - it feels crippling.

I'm personally scared of lots of different things:

heights

loosing loved ones

letting people down

'failure'

being vulnerable

being out of my comfort zone

being out of control

Setting up Kick on Coaching has been terrifying for me. I feel vulnerable and in all honesty worried about 'what people might think or say.'

I find myself now leaning into this discomfort.

How do I grow and develop myself without any risk? How can I expect riders to put themselves in this situation if I don't?

The negative nellies will be negative. Regardless.

I can't control what others think so why let that impact what I do?

As a coach, I take my time to listen and understand my client's fears. Together we formulate a plan to help make small, progressive steps so that the rider feels confident enough to step out of that comfort zone and achieve their dreams!

***Change and growth can be really scary but boy does it make you feel alive***
